Backing IS perfect. <br /><br />I've never made a quilt with flannel on both the front and back but someday am going to get big and brave and do so. What better for the wintertime? I knew of one gal who made a flannel quilt for her sister-in-law and shed many tears and learned some new curse words during the process. (Flannel both sides.) She had a terrible time quilting it (maybe her batting was too thick??) and named it -- actually did name it this on the quilt label -- "The Quilt from Hell."<br /><br />May none of us ever have to make one of those!Mama Pea Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08449138881131132555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664247988852576876.post-45531448727951498072010-02-11T09:24:59.486-06:002010-02-11T09:24:59.486-06:00That quilt is so pretty! I'm hoping when it's washed up I won't even be able to see them any more, like you said! I really love your baby quilt in the post below too. The pattern and colors are really nice. But I know what you mean about possibly not picking the pattern if you had known. Once I asked a question on my blog to see how many folks liked the traditional patterns or modern ones. I tend to lean towards modern, but I was surprised that a lot of folks really like the traditional look better. I think your quilt above falls into that category, and it's probably good to have a sprinkling of both kinds in your home. Have a warm cozy time cuddling under it with your coffee.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03843672826198310903noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664247988852576876.post-78373694291357785102010-02-10T20:24:12.929-06:002010-02-10T20:24:12.929-06:00Beautiful!
