I have taken advantage of getting back into a schedule groove with the girls at band camp for the last week and my husband out of town. Evenings I normally do not sew, rather we spend family time, but since I am the only one in the house no one much cares what I do.... so I sew!
Completed:
Nothing is completed since it is too hot here to think about sitting with a quilt pile on my lap while I machine quilt, but my pile of completed tops is growing!
New Projects:
Another week that I have not succumbed to the temptation to start something new!
Progress:
County Fair quit top is completed.
I have more strips sewn for 36 patch blocks
And I dug out my Pinwheels and got them put together. It is 60x75 and I am trying to decide if I should put a 5 inch border on it in the Charcoal Kona cotton.
Sitting:
American Jane blocks: Hour Glass Pot holders : Hope Valley QAL : Stamp QAL :Chubby Stars QAL : Leaves D9P : Mandy's fence : HST: New Wave : Rainbow : Vintage Spring
Stats for now: New Projects - 0 : Completed - 0 : WIP - 14
I love the rare occasions when I get evenings to myself to sew. They're really something to cherish. Your quilt top for the fair is gorgeous! And I love your pinwheels. I haven't learned to make them yet, but the implied moving is really eye catching.
ReplyDeleteThat County Fair top is soooo wonderful. That's not a color combination you see very often, but I just love it. It feels like a whole new take on Denyse's fabric. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
ReplyDeleteFantastic Pinwheels! Love the Coal you chose! Enjoy your extra 'me' time!
ReplyDeleteLove both quilts. You are doing great working on your WIP.
