Progress

I had a little set back yesterday and did not get as far along as I wanted due to a vicious headache, but happy to report that I was able to make up the lost ground today, completing the quilting of the flannel quilt (will share tomorrow when binding is done) and getting the piecing done for the Road to Spring baby quilt. This is expected to come in at about 40 x 45 so maybe more a toddler size. I am loving these colors! I have the brown bandanna print for the back and I think I will run a strip of the dots through it to add interest. The brown stripe shown is planned for binding.

This will now be put aside till next weeks installment of the quilt along. I am going to now go prepare the binding for the flannel so I can pin that tonight while watching TV with the family. Its NCIS night!

  3. I get vicious headaches too...not fun! Your quilt is looking great. The way my week is going I'll be lucky if I complete the piecing this week, although it looks like it goes fast.

  5. I've picked browns and blues for my quilt, too. Yours is very nice, and you were very fast to get it done already!! My strips are all finished, and I'm sewing them together tomorrow.

  7. This quilt is looking good. I don't usually use this colour combo but I really like the look of this. The stripey brown print sounds perfect for the binding. Shame about your headache, hope you don't get them too often:(

  12. Generally I frown upon (for myself) making a quilt out of just one fabric line, but that look is so tempting. It looks great.

  13. Blue and browns together have always looked especially good in any quilt using Civil War reproduction fabrics. But I think you've just proven they can look great in a "modern" quilt, too. Good job!

  17. love it! they have katie jump rope on sale at SMS, I think, if you need some more :) thanks for your comment on my quilt - it was extra funny because I LOVE tetris! My husband got me a 1980's nintendo and a tetris game for my bday last year. I was SO excited. So, I guess when I play a lot of tetris, it shows in my quilting :)
