Over the Wave

Wave quilt is done!

I had fun quilting it... after doing Granny is such a tight stipple, I did this larger than my normal.
I wanted to tone down the pink a little so I used a taupe colored thread on top.

The back is chocolate flannel and I used a matching thread to blend there.
This is going to be a late wedding gift for a young couple married this summer.  They live in Idaho so this should be warm and snugly on dark cold nights.
This is the second quilt I completed this week, I posted the Granny Squares yesterday.
I tend to do multi quilts assembly line fashion so they all get done at the same time!
Sharing at Sarah's for  whoop and Amanda Jean's linky party.

  1. Gorgeous! Congrats to the lucky couple!

  2. I love it!! That pattern is really cool/

  3. What a pretty quilt. I live in Idaho too, and we've got the quilts piled on already! I'm sure they'll love it.

  4. Oh, Diane, that's so pretty! I love that pattern but haven't had a chance to make it up yet myself. Yours is beautiful! Whoop whoop!!

  5. I love the waves! Two quilts!? Wowza! :)

  6. That is just gorgeous! I love the pattern and the fabric you chose. Flannel is always a good choice for the back!
